Daytona Beach

Museum of Arts and Sciences
The Museum of Arts & Sciences (MOAS) is the primary art, history and science museum in Central Florida. Located on a 90-acre Florida nature preserve, the 86,000 square foot facility is host to over 30,000 objects including the finest collection of American Art in the southeast, the largest collection of Cuban art outside of Cuba, a significant Chinese art collection, and Florida's prehistoric Giant Ground Sloth. Also on display, is Coca-Cola entrepreneur Chapman Root's lifetime collection of Americana, including two private rail cars. The museum's theater, planetarium, and children's center make for a truly interactive experience.


Southeast Museum of Photography
The Southeast Museum of Photography exhibits, collects, preserves, and interprets photography to facilitate teaching and learning at Daytona State College, and enhances the community's understanding and appreciation of culture, history, art and photography.



 
 




Delray Beach

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens
Since its opening in 1977, The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens has been a center for Japanese arts and culture in South Florida, with rotating exhibitions in its galleries, tea ceremonies performed monthly in its Seishin-an tea house, an educational outreach program with local schools and organizations, and Japanese traditional festivals celebrated for the public several times a year.

Gainesville   

Harn Museum at the University of Florida
One of the largest university-affiliated art museums in the United States, the Harn Museum has an 86,800-square-foot facility, which includes 32,800 square feet of exhibition space, a 250-seat auditorium, study center, museum store, café, spacious areas for art storage and staff offices for work and research. In 2009, the museum will break ground on a new 25,920-square-foot addition, which will be dedicated to the exhibition, storage and conservation of the museum's extensive collection of Asian art.

Frost Art Museum at Florida International University

The Wolfsonian at Florida International University
The Wolfsonian collection contains artifacts primarily of North American and European origin, dating from 1885–1945. It comprises a variety of media: furniture; industrial-design objects; glass, ceramics, and metalwork; rare books; periodicals; ephemera; works on paper; paintings; textiles; and medals. The nations most comprehensively represented are the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Russia/Soviet Union. The objects are interpreted to explore key issues in design history - the way design has both altered and been altered by cultural change, industrial innovation, and strategies of persuasion.

Florida Museum of Photographic Arts
The FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS is a museum dedicated to exhibiting important photographic art as central to contemporary life and culture. FMoPA collects, preserves and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists. FMoPA also enriches the community by operating outreach programs to educate children and adults.


Tampa Museum of Art
The Tampa Museum of Art is currently located in an interim facility at 2306 N. Howard Avenue in Tampa, while construction of the new museum is completed in downtown Tampa. The current exhibition, BIT, BYTE, DOT, SPOT: post digital art is the last exhibition offered until the new museum opens in early 2010. TMA's collection of Greek and Roman antiquities, and collection of contemporary art is in secure storage until the new facility opens. The date of the grand opening will be announced in the near future.


University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum 
USFCAM maintains the university’s art collection, comprised of more than 5,000 art works. There are exceptional holdings in graphics and sculpture multiples by internationally acclaimed artists, such as Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg and James Rosenquist, who have worked at USF’s Graphicstudio. Contemporary photography and African art are also important areas of the collection.

Norton Museum of Art
The Norton Museum of Art is a major cultural attraction in Florida. Morse Museum of American Art
The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art houses the world's most comprehensive collection of the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) including Tiffany jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass windows, lamps, and the chapel interior he designed for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The Museum's holdings include a major collection of American art pottery and representative collections of late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century American paintings, graphics, and decorative arts
